Campus connect
Need of the hour: P. Manjunatha Rao, Director, at the inaugural
function of students’ chapters of Institution of Engineers
at SACS MAVMM Engineering College.
The Students’ Chapters of Institution of Engineers were
inaugurated at SACS MAVMM Engineering College
on Friday.
Delivering his inaugural address, V.C. Gandhi, past chairman,
IEI, Madurai, explained the salient features and activities
of the chapter in organising lectures by corporate members and
visits to engineering projects, construction sites, factories
and workshops.
J. Manonmani, chairman, in his presidential address, said that
students had abundant opportunities to develop themselves and
urged them to update their knowledge on science and technology
and adhere to engineering ethics.
P. Manjunatha Rao, Director of the college, pointed out that
students should equip themselves according to industrial needs.
K. Kumarasamy, Principal, welcomed the gathering and S. Ramar,
Head, Department of EEE, proposed a vote of thanks.
